团结是人类有史以来永恒的话题。勃鲁盖尔这幅画说的是《圣经》中的一个故事:诺亚的后代为了避免上帝再次制造洪水摧毁人类的家园,齐心协力建造巴别塔(此塔可通天,所以也叫通天塔)。上帝看到后为之震惊,害怕通天塔一旦建成,将威胁到自己至高无上的地位,于是打乱人类语言,使人类无法沟通,无法通力合作,最后只能中断了通天塔的工程。《易经》有云:二人同心,其利断金。众人团结的力量有多大?大到足以与天试比高!
Solidarity is the eternal topic of mankind ever. Bruegel’s picture tells the story of the Bible: Noah’s descendants, in order to prevent God from creating another flood to destroy humanity’s homeland and working together to build the Tower of Babel (this tower can be heaven, so called Babel ). When God saw it, he was shocked and afraid that once the Babel Tower was built, it would threaten his supremacy. As a result, human language would be disrupted and human beings could not communicate with each other and could not work together.
