Several kinds of male sterile soybeans have been identified since the beginning ofthis century. Most of them are classified as genetic male sterile with one exception.Davis W. H. claimed in 1985 in his patent about hybrid soybean that he had bred acytoplasmic male sterile line by crosses among cuitivated soybeans. No further reportson it have been published since then.
