引言最近,许多实验室已转向有源矩阵寻址液晶显示器(LCD)的研究。非晶硅薄膜晶体管(a-Si TFT)是实现大尺寸有源矩阵LCD的最有前途的元件之一。然而,为了能与常用的CRT相竞争而得到一种高信息量的显示器,必须在象素数目及尺寸上都有所增加。作者研究了板的结构以及能适用于10英寸以上对角线的基片的生产过程,并制成了非晶硅薄膜晶体管液晶显示器,其显示面积为192mm×144mm,具有640×480个象素。
Introduction Recently, many laboratories have turned to active matrix addressed liquid crystal display (LCD) research. Amorphous silicon thin film transistors (a-Si TFT) is one of the most promising components for implementing large-size active matrix LCDs. However, in order to be able to compete with popular CRTs, a high-volume display has to be increased in number of pixels and size. The author has studied the structure of the board and the manufacturing process of the substrate which can be applied to the diagonal of 10 inches or more and made an amorphous silicon thin film transistor liquid crystal display having a display area of 192 mm × 144 mm and a resolution of 640 × 480 pixels .
