The barefoot doctors of our brigade, since establishing a cooperative medical station in 1969, have always insisted on participating in collective productive labor. Take medicine boxes to the fields and water conservancy sites, and participate in labor while preventing and curing diseases. Doing it all year round, for a long time, it becomes a habit. We feel that if people who can work don’t work, they “justify it”. The poor and middle-aged farmers feel that: When they do not see a barefoot doctor, they are like something less. The masses also praised and said: “Your doctor is really good. The family in the field looks for the patient, and when he sees the doctor, he works, and the medical doctor combines the seedlings.”
