彭德怀同志生前公私分明,从来不把组织上配给他的小汽车当成自己享受的工具,他经常讲:“车子是组织上配给我工作用的,家属没有权利动用。”他的夫人有段时间在中央党校学习,离家较远,每星期一早上走,星期六晚上回来,来去都是和中央办公厅的学员一起乘坐班车,从来没有用小汽车单独接送过。彭德怀同志从严要求家属,不利用职权为家属谋取私利的事迹,今天读起来仍感人至深。
When Peng Dehuai was born with a clear public-spirited life, he never regarded the car that was rationed by his organization as a tool for his own enjoyment. He often said: “The car is allocated to work by the organization, and the family members have no right to use it.” His wife, The Central Party School studied far away from home and went away every Monday morning. It came back on Saturday night and went to and from the Central Office with its trains. It was never picked up by a car. Comrade Peng Dehuai’s strict demands on family members and the non-use of official duties to seek personal gain for their families are still touching today.
