继电影《百色起义》之后,广西电影制片厂又组织创作了堪称《百色起义》姐妹篇的八集电视连续剧《远征》,描写了在邓小平、李明瑞、张云逸同志的率领下,当年红七军北上的可歌可泣的英雄业绩。“百色起义”之后,红七军在血与火的考验中,以实事求是的态度纠正了立三路线,以大无畏的革命英雄主义战胜了桂、黔、湘、粤、赣等省反动军阀武装的重重堵截:在河池起兵,在武岗激战,在全州终于扭转了被动、不利的局面。历时五个多月,行程七千多里,经历了无数场恶战,终于进入湘赣边区和王震等同志领导的湘赣独立师——红廿军胜利会师。为了弘扬革命传统和革命精神,本刊特选发其中的第5集至第8集,以飨读者。
