When the Doppler frequency of the target is presented in the mainlobe clutter spectrum during the final flight of the radar-seeking guided missile, a larger off-target distance will result. This paper uses a program called SAMS (Missile System Statistical Estimation) to quantitatively analyze clutter effects. It is a systematic and generalized variant of SLAM (Statistical Linear Companion Method). Missing missiles are usually represented by three time constants, a limiter, a second-order missile projectile movement, and a proportional navigation. The mainlobe clutter is added to this system along with the target random motions, flicker, attenuation and receiver noise. The effect of off-target distance and each type of noise is calculated by processing the system equations and the covariance distribution of the accompanying system. The results reveal that if the target Doppler frequency precedes the hit moment by 2 seconds in the mainlobe clutter spectrum
