Bentzen et al reported that taking tamoxifen during radiotherapy after mastectomy may increase the risk of lung fibrosis caused by radiotherapy, possibly due to tamoxifen leading to the secretion of transforming growth factor beta (TGF-beta). Therefore, TGF-β antagonists may play a role in preventing or reducing fibrosis. X-ray examination was used to monitor the process of pulmonary fibrosis and 84 patients were randomly selected for postoperative breast cancer
