The coal seam is a symbolic sediment in the sequence framework, and its understanding of its development rules is helpful for the development of sequence stratigraphy research. Taking the Jurassic in the Baijiahai area in the eastern Junggar Basin as an example, the paleogeography, lithology, logging and datum changes etc. were determined by analyzing the paleogeomorphology, the percentage of sandstone and the percentage of heavy minerals Data to study the control factors of coal seam development in this area. Based on a comprehensive study on the degree of supply of clastic material, ancient plants, paleoclimate, lake level (base level) changes, paleogeomorphology, and the relationship between the rate of change of accommodation space and paleoclimate changes It is considered that “effective” tolerant spatial evolutionary history controls the spatial-temporal distribution of sequence stratigraphy and is the key factor that affects the distribution of coal seams in the sequence framework. The Jurassic coal seams in this area are controlled by many factors, such as sedimentary paleotopography, degree of clastic supply and paleoclimate, which are mainly developed at the stage of stable rise of the base level over a long period of time and have an organic connection with the temporal and spatial evolution of the sequence.
