The English-speaking countries and Scandinavia are predominantly analytic philosophers, while phenomenology and existentialism prevail in continental Europe. Phenomenologists and existentialists did not form a clear separation camp, we can find many philosophers in the phenomenology and existentialism to take a variety of intermediate positions. Both Heidegger and Sartre (to mention only two of the most famous existentialists) start from phenomenology. But there seems to be a gap between these philosophers and Anglo-American analytical philosophers. Phenomenology and existentialism seldom work to arouse the interest of analytic philosophers. Conversely, analytic philosophy is almost a closed world for phenomenologists and existentialists.
