The key laboratory of otolaryngology of the Ministry of Health of the People’s Republic of China is the only national key laboratory of otolaryngology in our country directly led by the Ministry of Health. In 1989, the Ministry of Health organized a nationwide expert to conduct a rigorous review and demonstration and decided to establish the Key Laboratory of Otolaryngology and Rheumatology in Shandong Medical University. At the same time, Professor Wang Tingzhu, a well-known otolaryngology expert and doctoral tutor, was appointed as the director of the laboratory and the academic committee of the laboratory Chairman, specifically responsible for the construction of the laboratory.
