《申报》究竟发行了几号?

在中国近代报刊发展史上,历史最悠久的中文日报,当首推上海《申报》。从1872年8月至1949年5月,这家经历了近代中国动荡的78个春秋、使妇孺皆以“申报纸”为新闻纸之代名词的老牌报纸,它究竟刊行了几号?这个问题恐怕很少有人能确切回答。 1949年5月27日发行的《申报》,给这家报纸的历史写了一个问号。在这期报纸的报头下面,《申报》标明的最后刊行号码是第25600号。但是,这个数字是不准确的,它至少漏了一号报纸。

In the history of the development of modern Chinese newspapers and periodicals, the oldest Chinese-language daily newspaper devaluated Shanghai’s “declaration.” From August 1872 to May 1949, this veteran newspaper, which has undergone 78 years of turmoil in modern China so that women and children all use “newspaper as a synonym for newsprint”, is it really that issue? Few people can answer exactly. The “Declaration” issued on May 27, 1949, wrote a question mark on the history of the newspaper. Under the newspaper head of this issue, the last issue number indicated in the “declaration” is No. 25600. However, this figure is inaccurate, it missed at least one newspaper.
