5月1日某上海主要报纸在显著位置上报道了“金山漕泾围海造地工程竣工”、“造地面积10平方公里,相当于两个黄浦区”.有人这样说过,漕泾围海造地“圆了上海化工界二十多年的梦”.上海的化学工业一个世纪以来的历史轨迹是沿着居民杂居的弄堂、苏州河边、黄浦江畔走过来的,现今终于在杭州湾的滩涂上找到了新的落脚点,为日后的化学工业发展创造了良好的条件.
