刘勰、苏珊·朗格分别在中西方文论史上首次从美学的角度提出了“意象”和“幻象”的概念,其概念交汇之处在于以具象可感性与理性抽象性的统一为根本特性;“意象”和“幻象”都具有多义性、模糊性,幻象具有明显的虚幻性,其生成必须借助于“神思”和“想象力”。不同点在于刘勰重意轻象,朗格二者并重;刘勰依赖经验归纳法,目的在于指导创作;苏珊朗格则以纯粹的思辨去解决哲学问题。
For the first time, Liu Xie and Susan Lange respectively proposed the concepts of “imagery” and “illusion” from the angle of aesthetics in the history of Chinese and Western literature and history.
