US refractory producer Allied Mineral Products Inc. announced plans to acquire Pryor Giggey, a maker of prefabricated bulk refractory and refractory materials. The price of this acquisition has not been reported yet. Joint mining company based in Columbus, OH, said it expects to complete the acquisition by early 2017. The similarities between the two companies are more than customer service and the technology provided. Both companies are employee-owned and have a strong culture of employee stock ownership, and together add up to a total of 123 years of production and business activities. The acquirer pointed out that the original business will continue, both companies have not changed
