Previous studies found that the incidence of thalamic inclusions (TIs) in patients with Myotonic Dystrophy (MyD) was significantly higher than that of the control group, suggesting that thalamic inclusion bodies may be related to the etiology of myotonic dystrophy. To do this, we studied the immunohistochemical properties of thalamic inclusion bodies in eight MyD patients and nine non-MyD patients to identify their neuropathological features.
