造斜成功或失败与造斜钻头关系甚大,过去造斜使用的锥形钻头,加工麻烦、费时,一般野外分队没有烘炉不能加工,合金用量大、成本高。易把楔子啃坏转动,使造斜失败。合金易蹩掉造成孔内阻力大,易发生孔内事故。近年来塔型钻头(见附图)在安徽三二五地质队和三二四地质队通过十余个孔的试验,效果好。它的优点是:
