On May 4, the National Parks Administration Department of the United States arsoned in order to remove the underlying shrubs in the Benderly National Reserve. Unexpectedly, when the wind was strong, the originally weak fire gradually increased. Eventually, the “city gates caught fire and spread to the pool fish” and the Alamos National Nuclear Laboratory was buried in the sea of flames. In addition, the fire turned 47574 acres of land into scorched earth, destroyed 206 homes and forced 25,000 people to flee their homes.
