亚洲面积最大的平原人工水库——宿鸭湖,位于河南省驻马店市汝南县,是中国人工修建的面积最大、堤坝最长的平原水库。该水库建于1958年,是一座以防洪为主,结合灌溉、发电、养殖、旅游等多项目综合利用的大型水利枢纽工程。水库东岸南北土坝全长35.29公里,高58米,坝顶宽4—7米,湖水面最宽处15公里,库区占地35万亩,130平方公里的蓄水面积,库容达8.2亿立方米。湖西岸有6万亩森林
Suya Lake, the largest plain artificial reservoir in Asia, is located in Runan County, Zhumadian City, Henan Province. It is the largest plains reservoir built by the Chinese people with the longest embankment. Built in 1958, the reservoir is a large-scale water control project that is mainly flood-control combined with comprehensive utilization of irrigation, power generation, breeding and tourism projects.
