Objective: To study the changes of plasma Apelin levels in patients with chronic heart failure (CHF) and its relationship with PDCD5 antibody and blood pressure. Methods: The levels of plasma Apelin and PDCD5 antibodies in 40 CHF patients and 20 healthy controls were detected by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay. Results: ① Plasma Apelin levels in patients with heart function Ⅱ, Ⅲ and Ⅳ were lower than those in control group. Plasma Apelin levels in patients with heart function Ⅲ and Ⅳ were significantly lower than those in patients with heart function Ⅱ (P <0. (P <0.05). The plasma levels of PDCD5 in patients with CHF were significantly higher than those in non-hypertensive patients (P <0.05) All were statistically significant (P <0.05). Conclusion: The plasma levels of Apelin and PDCD5 in patients with CHF vary with different cardiac functions.
