泽头村地处长治市区西北,全村270户,1004口人,土地面积1760亩。村道东通309国道,西临漳泽水库,北依漳电集团,环境幽雅,空气清新,交通便利。1984年,教师出生的焦志明,为谋村子的发展,响应国家号召,顶压力,担风险,开办村里唯一企业“泽头钢铁厂”。1985年投产以后,为村里带来了巨大的经济效益,为村里解决劳动力户均一人,村民人均年收入也由此直线上升,改变了以往靠天吃饭的生活模式。泽头钢铁厂历经20多年的发展,已成为一个年上缴国家利税450万元的村支柱产业。
