This is a good question because when I came across the subject of simple machinery in textbooks and teaching activities, I seldom saw an explanation of how simple machinery works. People often can see the discussion about bearing, force point, particle, useful work, total work and so on. I remember when I was doing high school pulley work, in order to get the answer, I had to figure out the number of vertical rope sections, but I always did not understand the working principle of the pulley and why the pulley made some tasks easier.
