PoE(Power over Ethernet,以太网供电)做为一种电源管理技术,可作为设备端直接嵌入交换机中,或是独立的中继集线器。
PoE (Power over Ethernet) is a power management technology that plugs directly into the switch as a device or as a stand-alone trunking hub. The IEEE formally promulgated the 802.3af standard in 2003, clearly specifying the power detection and control issues in remote systems and further determining the development of the PoE market. The 802.3af standard specifies how routers, switches, and hubs can be powered by interface devices such as radial VoIP and WLAN APs over Ethernet cables. The IEEE 802.3af standard opens a new direction for Ethernet applications by providing DC power while maintaining 10/100 / 1000Mbit / s transfer rates.
