As a masterpiece of literary genius Stern, “Di Di Chuan” shows unusual and forward-looking and experimental narrative. The art form of this work has the similarities and differences with the postmodernist novels in the late 20th century. David Lodge once described this work as “the earliest super” in the literary critic’s novel Art of Fiction Fiction".
