On October 13, 2003, the American Society of Appraisers (ASA) held a press conference in Hong Kong, formally announcing the establishment of the American Society of Appraisers’ Association in Hong Kong. More than 100 representatives from the appraisal community of Hong Kong and other appraisers from all over the world attended the event Press conference. Chinese representatives attending the meeting of the International Assessment Criteria Committee in Hong Kong also attended a press conference and expressed their opinions on the establishment of the Hong Kong Chapter of the American Institute of Appraisers
