田螺为田螺科可食性水生动物总称。其品种繁多,常见的有圆田螺、黄螺、螺狮、蜗螺、香螺等,田螺肉是一种营养丰富的天然健身食品,国外还有美容食品之称。它含有蛋白质达10％以上,还有维生素、钙、铁等人体必需的元素,田螺肉营养优于鸡、鸭、猪肉等,不亚于鲫鱼、海参等。常吃田螺肉,可滋补肾阴,明目清脑,增强肌肉弹性,细腻皮肤。田螺可作家常肉食,也可加工成系列食品,烹制多种药膳佳肴、防病治病。目前,天然生长的田螺远远不能满足市场的需求,且田螺易养殖,生长快,产量高,值得发展。养殖技术如下:
