This paper reports the results of further studies on nutrition for the needs of Thompson’s mycelium in commercial fermentation. Mycelia used as inoculum in the experiment were conidia obtained from a single spore culture of a strain isolated in Florida in 1974 and cultured on liquid medium. One of the four carbon sources (unsulfonated molasses, glucose, sucrose and starch) was tested at 2% concentration alone and with five nitrogen sources (2% soy meal, 2% soy meal, corn leachate 2 %, 2% urea and 1.5% yeast extract plus peptone 0.005%) were used in commercial production of microorganisms to determine their effect on growth of Humus bacteria
