出土背景蛤堆顶遗址位于胶东半岛北岸,隶属于烟台市牟平区大窑镇蛤堆后村。遗址坐落于丰山、牧山等丘陵余脉西侧,西北及北部临马鞍山、侯至山两座矮山丘,向北隔威乌高速公路与黄海相距1.5千米;北部和南部均有一条小河流过,注入黄海~①。2013年,山东省文物考古研究所等单位对该遗址进行了发掘,获得丰富的动物遗存,其中包含数量较多的软体动物,发掘者将大部分软体动物运送至山东大学动物考古实验室进行
Excavated background The top of the heap is located on the north shore of the Jiaodong Peninsula and belongs to the Houmahou Village of Dayao Town, Muping District, Yantai City. The ruins are located on the west side of the hills and valleys such as Fengshan and Munshan. There are two short hills in Maanshan and Houzhi Mountain in the northwest and north, and 1.5km to the east of Weihai-Wuhu Expressway to the Yellow Sea. There is a small river in the north and the south , Into the Yellow Sea ~ ①. In 2013, the Shandong Provincial Institute of Cultural Relics and Archeology unearthed the site and obtained abundant animal remains, including a large number of molluscs. Excavators transported most molluscs to Shandong University Animal Archeology Laboratory
