2003年,交通部加快“五纵七横”国道主干线建设任务,公路、水路交通基础设施建设进展顺利,全年新增公路通车里程4.6万km,其中新增高速公路4 600km,全国公路通车总里程达到181万km,其中高速公路近3万km。全年共完成交通基础设施投资3 900亿元,同比增长12％。
In 2003, the Ministry of Communications accelerated the construction of the “five vertical and seven horizontal” national trunk roads.
