枫香树是我国南方分布极广的阔叶树,因其干燥性能不好,易翘曲、开裂,在制造胶合板时,用常规方法干燥单板,常出现中部波浪不平,边缘呈“荷叶状”等不良现象,给后工序带来困难,产品合格率低。用热压方法干燥枫香单板,单板平整、光滑、柔软,而且能使枫香单板的弦向干缩率由10％下降到1.5％左右,开裂减少60-70％。一、二等单板可达70％,节约单板7％以上。用此方法干燥木荷、香樟等多种阔叶材单板效果均好。这项技术的关键是排汽垫板的结构。通过多方探索,选出的GL-18型排汽垫板,材料易得,加工简单,成本低,使用效果好。
