林語堂是我國早期爲數極少的語言學博士,其博士論文《Altchinesische Lautlehre》(古漢語音韻學)近來被發現與稍早的高本漢氏具有不同的出發點,其以古方音爲框架的語音發展史觀,雖然遜于操作性,但是更接近漢語發展的實際。本文結合林氏《語言學論叢》,簡單評述該論文的成果和價值。
Lin Yutang, one of the earliest PhDs in linguistics in China, whose doctoral dissertation “Altchinesische Lautlehre” (ancient Chinese phonology) was recently found to have a different starting point from that of the earlier Kobo Han, whose phonetic development history view based on the ancient Chinese phonetics , Although less than operational, but more close to the reality of Chinese development. In this paper, Lin’s “Linguistics Symposium”, a brief review of the paper’s achievements and value.
