In accordance with the “Notice of the State Council on Strengthening Urban Planning Work” (Guofa [1996] Document No. 18), the Construction Department of Jilin Province, together with the Provincial Office of Supervision, started operations in May 1998 on 25 cities and 19 counties in the province. Planned law enforcement work conducted a comprehensive inspection. Recently, the Department of Construction of Jilin Province and the Supervision Department of Jilin Province jointly issued notifications to implement the No. 18 Document of the State Council throughout the province and conscientiously implemented the Urban Planning Law and Jilin.
