由农垦系统引进的“81—280”是一个早、晚兼用型水稻品种。该品种是湖南省农科院用湘矮早9号作母本、竹莲矮作父本杂交培育而成的籼型水稻品种。1984年参加该省早籼早熟组区试,亩产量居供试5个品种之首。1985年我省农垦系统引种试种,经过1986～1989年四年的试验、示范和推广,一般亩产400～450公斤,高的超过500公斤。比我省当前主栽品种之一的浙幅802,早熟3～5天,增产10%以上,米质较好,出米率较高。 主要特征特性:株高80厘米左右,生长青秀,株型较好,分蘖力强,抽穗整齐,千粒重25.6克,结实率85.1％。成熟时叶青籽黄,容易脱粒,较抗病,早、晚兼用,
