To prevent cross-contamination of infectious diseases (such as HIV, HBV, etc.), especially for health workers who frequently come into contact with patients’ blood, saliva, or other body fluids, the United States Public Health Service has recommended that all health workers should Routine use of preventive measures to prevent contact with the patient’s skin and mucous membranes, such as wearing masks, gloves, etc. The authors of the paper investigated the views of parents of children in children’s hospitals on the use of masks, gloves, and other infection control measures by clinicians during routine examinations. A total of 316 people were surveyed, including people of different nationalities, different social and economic conditions, and people of different cultural levels. The vast majority were mothers of children (85%), a few were fathers (18%), and others were 7%. The results show that about two-thirds of parents think that doctors are in the routine examination.
