我国古代木雕源远流长、历史悠久、丰富多彩,公元七千多年前的木雕鱼和木雕鸟,是最好的实物古木雕,是古代劳动人民智慧的结晶。中国地大物博,不同的地域文化和生活环境也孕育了不同风格的木雕艺术,中国木雕博物馆收藏了全国各地各种品类的古木雕,文章从古木雕的地域分类、年代、品类、题材内容、雕刻技法等方面探析研究馆藏古木雕的艺术特色。
