如何提高品质是当前红碎茶生产的当务之急,而在试行第三、四套红碎茶茶样的地区,选用优良品种,进行换种改植,藉以提高红碎茶的品质,就显得更为重要。多年来,中国农业科学院茶叶研究所育种研究室收集了一些天然杂种、有性群体实生种和国外引种材料,从苗期开始,即用单株选种的方法去劣取优,大量繁育较优单株,建立初试圃。通过初步观察与比较,从中选育了一批适制红绿茶新品系,建立品比试验圃,进行了系统鉴定。
