Basic Situation of Synthetic Utilization of Desulfurization by-products Since 2005, the flue gas desulfurization equipment has been built on a large scale in China’s coal-fired power plants and the amount of by-product generated from flue gas desulfurization has rapidly increased. As limestone-gypsum wet method is the mainstream of desulphurization technology, the desulphurization by-product gypsum accounted for more than 95% of the total desulphurization by-products.
