每一个人的生命都是惟一的,都是独特和不可替换的,我们要学会爱自己,不是怜惜、伤感地去爱,而是骄傲地去爱。我们要坦然地接受一切已经给定而我们不可能再改变的东西:对自己的优势善加利用,小心地改进或者避开自己的缺陷,避不开时也不妨像第三者一样幽默地嘲笑嘲笑自己,并且宽慰地想到,每个人都是有缺点的,包括所有的伟人。我们也还要牢记:我们还没有完全被决定。我们的未来,还正通过每时每刻的现在而在相当程度上仍然掌握在我们自己的手里。世界上可能有许多先天秉赋好、后天环境又好的人,但你不一定属于他们;世界上可能有许多从小就受到宠爱、性格又讨人喜欢的人,但你也不一定属于他们。你很可能并不是得天独厚的一个,命运并不特别垂青于你。
