冲天炉回用生铁屑,要求能顺利地把铁屑加入炉内而不被吹掉。达到既不影响冲天炉的正常工作,又有较高的回收率。为此近年来许多单位做了不少工作。如生铁屑中掺入一定的锯木屑,点火抽燃使之烧结成块;把铁屑与一定的黄泥、煤粉、石灰和水分混合打结成块。经预加工后,把这种块状物按比例投炉熔炼。烧结法铁屑氧化十分严重,回收率约20%;打结法专门设备多,且效率低,劳动条件差。实践证明,这两种办法都有不足之处。
