Due to the formation of a cusp tip during chewing, the occlusal force can not be measured using conventional methods. In this study, we measured the maximal occlusal force of the subjects using a stress-strain occlusal force meter and then measured the maximal occlusal force by using electromyography (12.5%, 25%, 37.5%, 50% 62.5%, 75% and 87.5% of the seven (occlusal) force levels of bilateral temporalis front muscle, temporal muscle, chewing muscles in a total of six parts of the EMG. Correlation analysis showed that there was a highly significant positive correlation between the sum of EMG scores of the above six parts and the occlusal force. The regression equation established by this method can be used to detect the EMG under the test condition at this time Measured projections of their chewing (occlusal) force level.
