最近美国加利福尼亚大学 Scripps 海洋研究所海洋生物学教授柳文 Ralph A.Lewin 先生来上海访问,参观我校的生物系。他是一位世界语学者,特地要求会见我校的世界语小组的同志们,畅谈了很长时间,大家又陪同他夫妇参观了师大校园。在这段时间里,柳文先生一句英语也没有说,宾主直接交谈,毫无隔阂。陪同前来的两位英语和法语的翻译一直闲着,反而要同志们把谈话内容译给他们听。这件事引起了好多人的兴趣,纷纷打听世界语是怎么
Recently, Mr. Liu Wen Ralph A. Lewin, a professor of marine biology at the Scripps Institute of Oceanography at the University of California, is visiting Shanghai to visit our department’s biology department. He was a Esperanto speaker and specifically demanded that he meet with comrades of Esperanto Group of our school for a long time and talked with him and his wife to visit the campus of the Normal University. In this period of time, Mr. Liu Wen did not say a word in English. He spoke directly without any estrangement. The two English and French translators accompanying me have been idle.
