The study of linguistic features based on corpus-based constructs has a long history in the West. However, such studies have long regarded single linguistic features as research subjects, and most of them have studied grammatical or pragmatic issues. The result is inevitably a leaf barrier, I saw no forest trees. Based on the corpus statistical analysis of large data of various features of the language to find its co-occurrence features, and then summarize its stylistic features, but only less than 30 years of history. Variation across Speech and Writing, published by Biber in Oxford University Press in 1988, is a mountain to this school.
