在抗日战争的历史画卷已经翻过五十年的今天,每当我们回忆起在那惊心动魄的民族战争中,无数英雄血洒疆场的可歌可泣事迹、回忆起各阶层民众中那些曾为了中华民族的生存而牺牲自己利益和性命的人们,都不能不深深地体会到一点,这就是中华民族巨大的凝聚力。 八年的时间,中国人民赢得了民族战争的胜利。这一胜利不仅改写了中华民族自1840年鸦片战争以来,屡被列强欺侮的历史,而且取得战争胜利时间之短、所战胜对手之强,在中华民族抵抗外来侵略的历史中也是少有的。因此我们可以说八年抗战的胜利证实了国共两党的再度合作,是争取民族战争胜利的保证。

For eight years, the Chinese people won the national war. This victory not only rewrote the history of the Chinese nation, which has been repeatedly bullied by the powers since the Opium War of 1840, but also achieved the short victory of the war and its victory over its rivals. It is also rare in the history of the Chinese nation’s resistance to foreign invaders. Therefore, we can say that the victory of the eight-year war of resistance confirmed the renewed cooperation between the KMT and the CPC and it is the guarantee for the victory of the national war.
