杉木是我县低山丘陵重要造林树种之一.因其材质优良,用途广泛,生长迅速,深受群众喜爱.为了选择适宜的立地,生产较大径级的用材,近两年来,我们对江宁县东善桥林场东坑分场282亩优良立地的杉木林进行了调查研究.现将结果整理报道如下:自然条件和概况东坑分场距江宁县西南方30公里,位于云台低山丘陵地区,地理纬度北纬31°35′,东经118°40′.属北亚热带气候.年平均气温15.5℃,1月份平均气温2.3℃,7月份平均气温28℃,≥10℃年积温4954.7℃,年降雨量1005.7毫米,年平均相对湿度77%,年日照时数2162.3小时,日照百分率49%.杉木林地地形多为山洼、山凹.土壤为苏南黄砂土,
