1993年12月10日上午,临沂地区化工机械厂内热闹非凡,地委、行署、地区体改委、地区化工局等部门的有关领导与化工机械厂的500多名职工一起参加该厂的股份制创立大会。随着原厂长刘方春一声“山东临沂机械装备股份有限公司创立大会现在开始”的宣布,原全民所有制企业临沂地区化工机械厂便脱下“官袍”换“民服”。成为全区首家先出售后改制的“民有民营”企业。临沂地区化工机械厂刨建于1970年,原是县属集体企业,后转为地区全民所有制企业。近年来,该厂通过改革有了较快的发展。现有固定资产原值1377.7万元,职工533人。主要生产化工建材设备等产品,是鲁南地区最大的压力容器定点生产厂家。1992年完成产值3083万元,实现利税263.3万元,其中利润171.4万元;1993年1—10月份已完成产值4308万元,实现利税268万元,其中利润146万元。
