关于飞白书,《辞源》的解释是“汉字书体的一种,笔画露白,似枯笔所写。相传后汉蔡邕所造”。《辞海》的解释与此类似。把飞白书与蔡邕联系起来,始见于唐张怀瓘《书断》:“案飞白者,后汉左中郎将蔡邕所作也。王隐、王愔并云:‘飞白变楷制也。本是宫殿题署,势既径丈,字宜微不满,名为飞白。’
