第三届“韩素音青年翻译奖”竞赛是由《中国翻译》编辑部与天津市翻译工作者协会联合举办的,参赛人共有1099名,全国29个省、市、自治区的青年译者参加了这次竞赛,其中男性占73％,女性占27％,年龄最小的只有17岁,有一些今年满40岁的参赛者为自己的最后机会表示了十分珍惜的心情。来稿较多的有湖北省(107篇)、江苏省(104篇)、四川省(98篇)、北京市(74篇)、天津市(69篇)。参赛者中最多的是高等院校和中学的教师(409人)及高校学生、研究生(192人),其他有企事业单位职工、科技人员、专职和业余翻译人员、工人、农民、军人以及待业青年、残疾人等,他们都是翻译爱
