合肥市是一个有88万人口的中等城市,市区育龄妇女10万人,年出生5,500人左右。为做好孕期管理,加强围产期保健,市区于1980年开展了孕产妇系统管理,降低了孕产妇、新生儿死亡率,提高了孕管质量。据统计1981年与1985年相比,早孕建册率由77%上升为99%;产前检查率由70.35%上升为99.7%;产后访视率77.9%(含免访),1985年为64.20%(按卫生部规定计算方法,含所有产妇在内),平均每人访视3.4次;妊高症由21.92%降至8.5%;臀位由2.54%降至1.27%;产褥感染由0.44%降至0.19%;孕产妇死亡率由3.75/万降至2.17/
