同志们:市委常委研究决定召开的这次北京市党史工作会议,我原是准备参加的,并想和同志们好好座谈一下。现因身体欠佳,不能到会同大家见面,只好写这封便信,谈一点想法。党史工作是党的工作的一个重要组成部分,是一项十分重要的工作。研究和宣传党的历史,把我们党在历史上走过的道路搞清楚,总结成功与胜利,也总结失败和教训,这对教育今人和后人,坚持四项基本原则,反对资产阶级自由化,反对对我国干涉、渗透、和平演变,建设有中国特色的社会主义,具有重大的现实意义和深远的历史意义。
Comrades: The Municipal Party Standing Committee studied and decided to convene this meeting of the Party work history of Beijing Municipality. I was originally going to attend and wanted to have a good discussion with my comrades. Because of poor health, can not meet with you, had to write this letter, talk a little idea. Party history work is an important part of the party’s work and is a very important one. Study and propagate the history of the party, clarify the path our party has taken in history, summarize the successes and victories, and sum up the failures and lessons learned. This is a lesson to educate present and future generations of the four cardinal principles and oppose bourgeois freedom It is of great practical significance and far-reaching historical significance to intervene, infiltrate and evolve peacefully and to build socialism with Chinese characteristics in our country.
