习近平总书记在2016年11月7日会见中国记协第九届理事会全体代表和中国新闻奖、长江韬奋奖获奖者代表时发表重要讲话,勉励新闻工作者并提出了“四向四做”的要求。“四向四做”是习近平总书记对全国新闻工作者的殷切嘱托,为全国广大新闻工作者从业、做人、为文提供了重要遵循。新闻工作者应全面理解并以此为职业准则,无论时代如何发展、媒体格局如何变化,努力成为党的政策主张的传播者,时代风云的记录者,社会进步的推动者,公平正义的守望者。
On November 7, 2016, General Secretary Xi Jinping made an important speech when meeting with all delegates of the 9th council of China Association of Record-takers and representatives of the China News Awards and the Changjiang Taotian Endeavor Prize winners, and encouraged journalists to put forward “four-to-four Do ”request. “Four-to-four” is the eagerness of General Secretary Xi Jinping for journalists throughout the country and provides an important follow-up for the vast number of journalists in the country in terms of employment, being a human being and writing articles. Journalists should fully understand and use this as a professional guideline. No matter how the times are developed or how the media structure changes, they should strive to become the disseminators of the party’s policy ideas, the reporters of the times, the promoters of social progress, the watchmen of fairness and justice .
